Thank you for your interest in PAN-O-PLY. We are always looking for new Michiana artists to promote and feature. We are accepting submissions from artists of all types, including poetry, short stories, essays, and other well-crafted writing. We are seeking journalists willing to write about creative people in Michiana. Please fill out the form below, and we will get in contact with you soon. We are now publishing PAN-O-PLY in print quarterly. We will publish submitted art in writing in one of three areas on our Facebook page, our website, or as part of the quarterly publication. When we are preparing for publication, it may take longer to reply. We see you; watch for our email.

By submitting your information and artwork or writing you agree PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana may publish your work on the PAN-O-PLY website, social media, and print magazine at the discretion of the editorial team. PAN-O-PLY Michiana seeks one-time publishing rights. Our goal is to bring the art community together, celebrate your work and to share it with others throughout the Michiana region. We are interested in representing the variety of heritage and ethnic backgrounds in our community.

PAN-O-PLY Submission Guidelines

We accept electronic submissions only. We accept submissions all the time and will work with you on timing.

When submitting a piece of writing please send the entire document. You can email panoplymichiana@gmail.com.

Art submissions that require photos will be asked for once we determine, based on your website and/or social media, if we are going to feature your work on our online platforms.

Once approved, all submissions must include a brief biographical note and how others can see more of your work. 

Poetry

Submit four poems at a time. We are interested in poetry people can connect to their lives. Poems should elicit strong feelings.  Shorter to moderate-length poems are preferred.

Submit frequently. We would like to publish one poem weekly on our social media and web platforms.

Short Stories

We are looking for stories that run 2000 – 4000 words. We are seeking engaging reads. Character and great narrative interest us. All genres considered.

Essays and Memoir

We prefer to see topics about life in Michiana. Please, nothing trite or overly sentimental.  Writing needs to be clear and concise. Essays and memoirs should be between 1000 - 1500 words. We are looking for writing that entertains. We want writing that elicits respectful conversation and thought.

Photos

Submit no more than five pieces at a time. Please send JPG or PNG photos only. No borders or watermarks. Image files must include your last name and the photograph's title. We are also looking for people who will take pictures on assignments. We are interested in art in Michiana, people in Michiana, artistic view of events, nature photos, creative photos, and art in everyday life.

Art

Submit no more than five pieces at a time. Please submit photos of art in JPG or PNG. We will feature one artist a month on our social media and web platforms. Please be prepared to submit a brief bio of each piece.

Cartoons

Submit work in JPG or PNG. Subject matters and characters must appeal to a wide audience. I am interested in working with a variety of cultures.

Journalism

We are seeking people to write on assignment. Subjects may include food, small farming, art shows, musicians, music, the art of life, faith, craftsmanship, and more. We will need to see a sample of your work first. If you wish to propose an article, we are interested in the following topics: local artists, local art galleries, dance, local theater groups, music that is out of the mainstream (for instance Gospel), local writers, bookstores, and local craftspeople. Articles should not exceed 2000 words. Have an idea you think would interest our readers? Please pitch it to me in a concise manner.
