August 2019 Artist of the Month: Stephanie Lancione

Congratulations to Stephanie Lancione for being our August 2019 Artist of the Month!

“My interest with nature photography began about 12 years ago. I've always been intrigued by birds, insects, and other creatures. I spent a lot of time sitting on my deck waiting to see what would come into my yard. Last year at the encouragement of my family I decided to buy a better camera.”

“When I first started to shoot, I mostly focused on flowers and butterflies. After following other photographers on Instagram I realized that different lenses could open up new worlds for me. I became really interested in Macro Photography so I bought a 100mm lens. I love it and I use it more than any other lens I own.”

“My new favorite thing to capture is dragonflies because with my macro lens I now know there are many beautiful patterns on their eyes and bodies. On the weekends I enjoy venturing out with my husband and two kiddos to new parks and gardens. Photography has really added vibrancy to my life that wasn't there before.”
