Ellen Brenneman has been creating animals for as long as she can remember. As a child she could be found doodling under the cherry tree in her backyard while carrying on lengthy conversations with the squirrels and birds.

Today, Ellen remains happiest when connected to animals and bringing them to life on paper or canvas. Her most popular body of work, ‘Power Animals of the Planet’ began in 2015; to date, she has completed over 150 paintings for the series. By using vivid, intense color combinations, Ellen’s objective is to capture the spirit of the animals she paints.

She calls South Bend, Indiana her home and resides there with husband Craig and her faithful golden retrievers.
