Russell Frantom IV is a regional visual expressionist painter focused in South Bend IN and Chicago. Painting for 15 years, Russell paints all of his pieces in one sitting and often times his work is large in scale. He prefers to describe himself as a person who “expresses himself” instead of calling himself an artist. He considers himself to be an expressionist. Ventilating how he’s feeling into his paintings, he has used art as a form of therapy to help fight mental illnesses.  Frantom has shown his art publicly many times throughout the years in museums, galleries and various events. The artwork of Russell James Frantom IV is often colorful and sometimes minimal and frequently includes an array of psychologically charged self –portraits and animals.
