MUSIC FOR A CAUSE- THE ART OF GOOD
ROCK THE RESCUE!
Larry Haulin can’t say no when help is needed. Larry and his fiancée’ Sarah Newton operate the not for profit organization Music for a Cause. Music for a Cause hosts multi band concerts locally to raise money for local causes. This year Music for a Cause is hosting Rock the Rescue August 21, all day at Smokestack Brew in Mishawaka, Indiana. Rock the Rescue is intended to support Resale for the Rescue.
What do you do when your friend’s daughter is diagnosed with cancer? Larry wanted to do more than send good wishes, he held his first concert to raise money defraying the costs for his friend who was feeling financial stress. This call for help became the beginnings of Music for a Cause. Music for a cause has only been operating since August 2019 and they have raised more than $7000.00 to help individuals with medical needs to Saint Margaret’s House. They also held shows to build awareness for suicide awareness and food drives to refill the shelves of local pantries.
Larry and Sarah put in a lot of work to make a concert successful. They spend hours finding sponsors, recruiting bands and finding venues. Larry says he enjoys putting the concerts on and the rewarding feeling he gets from helping others. “We like helping people out,” says Larry. “We both love animals.” Supporting Resale to the Rescue is a natural fit for their passions.
Music for a Cause concert Rock the Rescue will raise funds to support Resale to the Rescue. When you got to the concert you can expect an all-day rock concert. Rock the Rescue will include bands playing inside and outside the Smokestack Brew with concert culminating inside the Smokestack Brew. The concert will be headlined Shallow Side and Kingdom Collapse.
