and feed 8000 people in our community.

Celebrating the diversity and people of Michiana. We invite you to take photos of a person in your neighborhood and submit to PAN-O-PLY STORY & ART MICHIANA. We want to capture the “art of life” in Michiana and connect with all the faces making up our communities. Entry fee is a $10.00 donation to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. We are using “neighbors” in a Mr. Rogers’ definition. In Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood and in your neighborhood, there are a lot of people to know. Your subject can be your neighbor who lives, works or in a very broad way is associated with your neighborhood. We are looking for great pictures of people and their Michiana life.

· Photos can be of one person or multiple people. May include neighbor, friend, coworker. We are using the word “neighbor” in a very general sense and welcome photos of all people you know or see.

· Photos should include a sense of setting or place.

· Photo should include a sense of art or story.

How to enter

· Contest entry deadline December 17, 2021.

· First place winner will receive a $100.00 prize.

· Second place winner will receive a photography session from Emily Allison valued at $300.

· Third and fourth place winner will receive either a $50.00 gift certificate from Apothecia Teas or the Prized Pig.

· Entry fee is a $10.00 or more donation to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. The donation is to be made directly to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana at Donate | Food Bank of Northern Indiana (feedindiana.org). Please put Panoply photography in the comment section when you donate.

· Your entry must be accompanied by a screen shot or other proof of donation to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

· You may submit multiple times. Each submission requires a separate donation to FBNI and must be submitted as a separate entry.

· The photographer is responsible to obtain the rights to submit the photo of the subject(s) to the contest. By submitting the photo of the subject(s), the photographer agrees you have obtained the right to submit the subject(s) image to the contest.

· Submissions are to be made at panoplyphotocontest@gmail.com.

· With your submission include in a single email

o Your Name

o Your business name if applicable,

o The name of your neighbor,

o One or two brief sentences about your neighbor,

o Your address (optional). PAN-O-PLY does not share information with other entities.

o Attached photo in jpeg.

· Photos of “My Neighbor Michiana” will be judged on the following criteria;

o Composition of photo,

o Quality of photo,

o How well does the photo tell the story of your neighbor?

o the art of the photo.

· The top 20 photos will be published in the PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana February Winter 2022 release.

· The top 10 photographers may have the option to display the photo at Prized Pig in Mishawaka and at Apothecia Tea in Niles.

· All entries submitted will be considered for publication in PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana digitally or in other media. PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana reserves the right to publish submitted photos in a publication to be distributed by PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana.

By submitting to the contest, the photographers and their subject(s) agree to waive any liability to PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana, PAN-O-PLY LLC, Food Bank of Northern Indiana and the sponsors of the contest. By submitting you agree you have received permission from your subject(s) to submit their image to the contest. By submitting to the contest, you give permission for PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana to use your photo in digital and print publication. A print publication by PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana may be distributed throughout the Michiana area and beyond. PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana agrees to use all submissions in a professional manner.

Hunger is a story we can end.

At this very moment, nearly 13% of the residents of northern Indiana don’t know when they will eat their next meal. Together, we can put nutritious food on the plates of hungry children, families and seniors throughout our community.

Every $1 that you donate provides 4 meals and hope for those who need it most. When you enter the contest you can provide 40 meals. If your neighbor donates too you can provide 80 meals.
