Do you have a favorite spot where you like to immerse yourself in a summer book?
For me, it's the front porch, nestled in my Adirondack chair, with a refreshing drink in hand. The tree frogs provide a soothing soundtrack in our neighborhood, and the moon often peeks through the trees, adding a touch of magic to my reading experience.
What is your favorite summer book? Are you a mystery person or a romance lover? Maybe a great sci-fi or mystery completes your summer?
No matter your favorite genre or summer reading spot, a privately owned bookstore in Michiana carries your new book to love. Visit the book store trail and you will meet a friendly clerk who will guide you to your new favorite summer read.
You will also find games, art and events. A purchase from a local bookstore often promotes literacy in Michiana.

Chesterton, IN 46304

What makes us special: Once Chicago's oldest bookshop, dating back to the nineteenth century, we now proudly make our home in Chesterton, Indiana. We have books in all price ranges and subjects, from $1.00 bargain books to 16th-century treasures. We also feature original art, prints, and small antiques.
Our favorite section of the shop is our children's books. Kids get so excited when they find a new favorite, and adults get very nostalgic when they spot an old one.
Our summer hours (May through October) are Monday through Friday, noon to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 3pm.
Chesterton's European Market takes place right outside our door every Saturday all summer long.
