About the Fuzz Ballz by Michael Schreiner
I am an East Coast transplant to the Midwest. When I was nine, my family moved twice within a year so I loved the consistency of Saturday morning cartoons and the Sunday comics. Some of my favorite comics included Peanuts, Beetle Bailey and the Family Circus. As I grew older I found the humor of The Born Loser, The Lockhorns, Crank Shaft, and Dilbert to really hit home.
The Fuzz Ballz is a group of friends that I first met in High School and our friendship grew in those years. I drew them everywhere and even created some 3D versions using yarn balls. Mickey and Rusty, fraternal twins, were always popular and started a band. They only had a few gigs before they went away to college and the band broke up. Unfortunately, we grew apart while they were at college.
Fast forward to June of 2017 and I find myself living in Michiana. My wife and I have four children and six grandchildren. It was my youngest daughter’s birthday when I remembered the Fuzz Ballz and thought that my children would enjoy them. This allowed me an avenue to inject some daily humor into my family life. Mickey and Mandy got things started and I soon got caught up with all that was going on with the gang since high school. Now they appear daily on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the internet so you can enjoy their adventures and antics as well.
