I Still Dream
By: Thomas Christensen
Still I Dream
What life takes and gives
Is what dreams make
The so-called bucket list
Or the things-to-do
On a note pad a list of wishes
Is what I am talking about
You know, the get-a-round-to-it stuff
But life won’t let me
Have everything I dreamt of as a child
Because cornucopia of goals and wishes
I will never obtain
As I am much older, I know that
Only a few of the dreams and wishes will be accomplished
And the others I will have to relinquish
But I can still dream
