It Is Over But I Still Love You

By: Thomas Christensen

You and I knew how
Back and forth it went
With hurtful words.

Oh, how hateful
We were when
We spoke so violently.

Oh, the pain from you,
Oh, the pain from me.
But what could we do

But leave each other
Alone / we were better off
Then / no more bitter love.

Sure, there are regrets
And I am saddened when I think
Of how our relationship went.

Never am I to understand all the whys and ifs.
But I do know one thing,
We will never speak again.
