Ever Feel Alone In This Crazy Electronic World?

By: Thomas Christensen

Collectively connected
By electronic networks
To communicate.

Yet, I am isolated and alone,
Sitting in some restaurant
In some lonely city,

I type a text to a friend,
Or send a picture,
Or post a share on Facebook

That some other friend sent.
And then feel compelled
To take a selfie,

And post that portrait as an update.
And sit and stare at it
All alone in a lonely city
